If you or someone in your household has symptoms for COVID-19 you must NOT come to work. Doing so will put your colleagues and others at risk.
You must Immediately use the 111 NHS Symptom checker and obtain an Isolation Note. Having the isolation note means you will be able to receive Statutory Sick Pay from day one.
In order to get back to work as soon as possible, you should ask for a test. In addition, you should be in the first three days of the onset of your COVID-19 symptoms at the time the swab is taken although testing is considered effective up until day five. No testing should be undertaken after day five. As an essential worker, you are given priority. Watch this video on testing.
It is also a good idea to download the COVID Symptom Study app and report your health once a day. Should you show symptoms you will automatically be invited for a Coronavirus test.
